Gary was born and raised in Alabama and is a graduate of the University of Alabama. While there he majored, in broadcast communications and holds a minor, Atmospheric Science. Gary is married to Belinda (of Decatur) and they have 3 children, Gary Jr. 27, Brandon 26, and Shannon 32. Gary worked in radio in Birmingham, Sylacauga, and Anniston from 1971-81 He then moved to Huntsville and worked in radio from 1981-84 until he assumed the chief meteorologist position at WAAY-TV. While there he met Toni and started
a morning show with her that lasted from 1993-1999. The show switched networks to UPN-15 from in 1999 and remained until 2004.

We are approaching our Annual Beauty Pagent Ms. ACRC ( Athens Convalascent and Rehab Center), our residents enjoy you on the news station and we have many mornings where we will talk about the news show for example Reindeers like bannanas and when in a snow bank dont continue to turn on and off your car LOL .
